CHAMPNEYS – the UK’s original health spa – will be ready to welcome its first guests to the newly-refurbished spa at Eastwell Manor Spa Hotel in Kent from Friday 14th April.
This week’s announcement comes after a six-month, multimillion pound renovation aimed at making the historic Edwardian estate one of the “go-to” spa hotels of the south.
Less than an hour from London by train, Eastwell Manor is expected to become one of the South East’s major destinations following its purchase by Champneys.
Stephen Purdew, Champneys co-owner said: “We are delighted to announce that from Good Friday the doors will open for the public to experience the new-look Eastwell Manor Champneys Spa Hotel.
“The past six months have been an exciting period as we’ve watched the vision for Eastwell become a reality.
“We can’t wait to welcome our first guests to the spa next month and we are confident they will agree our improvements have breathed new life into this most historic of venues.”
To mark news of the opening, Champneys released pictures of what the eagerly awaited health-spa looks like. Since January the spa has been closed to the public.
Typical of Champneys resorts, the spa features the full treatment menu as well as access to the pool, gym and thermal areas.
Stylish lounge beds line the new-look indoor pool area and the relaxation room provides guests with a unique panoramic view across the Kentish Eastwell Estate.
The spa restaurant will provide the Champneys menu which is carefully crafted and balanced for optimum nutrition.
On completion of the hotel renovations later this year, Eastwell Manor, a Champneys Spa Hotel will include 62 bedrooms and suites, two restaurants, a spa, pitch and putt and a collection of leisure facilities.
The vision at Eastwell Manor Spa Hotel, which is unique to the Champneys resort collection, will place a particular focus on the finest of outdoor country pursuits, including falconry, Segways and hiking.
In addition to the five resorts, Champneys also operate six city spas, a college, beauty courses at LCCA and a range of globally recognised products.
Stephen Purdew, Champneys owner continues: “The acquisition of Eastwell Manor is a major milestone for the Champneys Group. Key developments have been made at both Forest Mere and Tring, with further renovations and investment planned for Henlow and Springs over the next year.
