The fifth Kent Health & Beauty Awards took place on the 7th June at the Ashford International Hotel and was a great success.
Hosted by Hilary Steel, they celebrate the eclectic and growing health and beauty industry in the county. The event may well be one of the most glamorous in the business calendar, but it is also one that brings out hidden entrepreneurs who really are impacting not only the economic landscape in Kent, but also pushing boundaries as employers and innovative business owners.
Sponsored by com.unity, the awards recognised 19 categories in the sector, and saw businesses from all over Kent represented on the night.
“It’s one of the most inspiring events I am fortunate enough to work on,” enthused Hilary Steel. “The industry is so diverse, yet there is a desire to succeed that is infectious and often results in collaboration between businesses who connect at the awards.
“The event itself is always a fun evening, with celebrations often continuing into the early hours. But it’s the days that follow that show just how much this industry is growing, and how much being recognised means to the finalists.”
The awards were founded as a category in two other prominent business awards which was overwhelmingly oversubscribed.
MMM publisher Rasa Dregva was pleased to be invited on to the judging panel and was there on the night to present an award.
