This unique venue, set into Folkestone’s coastal cliff, hosts daily changing performances of all genres of music, dance, comedy and pantomime. Additionally, at the lower level, under the spectacular 1820s glamour of the Grand Hall, is the modern Channel Suite, so named as it has panoramic vistas and balconies overlooking the sea towards France and hosts a variety of conferences, wedding events, civil ceremonies and parties. The team of in-house chefs cater for up to 260 guests for events, including the very popular Christmas and New Year’s Dinner Parties, with facilities including a bar lounge, Martello Cocktail Bar, dance floor and DJ.
LEAS CLIFF CAFÉ BAR
The Café Bar is the perfect spot during the day to sit inside or outside on the roof terrace with the magnificent sweeping view of the Leas Promenade and English Channel, and enjoy a range of light meals or freshly brewed coffee with something sweet. In addition to the savoury and fruit scones, brownies and flapjacks which are made in-house, there are sandwiches and paninis for which the meat is also roasted or cured on the premises, home-made soup and specials of the day.
Meet with friends before booking a show, or just rest from a stroll along the Leas and make use of the free Wi-Fi and USB port facilities.
THE NEW BROCHURE
The new brochure covers all the exciting events which will be taking place this Summer and Autumn. The Leas Cliff Hall also offers a comprehensive programme of community engagements from work experience, apprenticeships and skills workshops. Book now for Joe McElderry, Wizard of Oz, King of Pop and Collabro among many other acts.
Collabro are the world’s most successful musical theatre group. They met in 2014 above a pub in London for their first rehearsal and only a month later went on to rouse the whole of the Hammersmith Apollo into a standing ovation during their first ever public performance of Stars in their first audition for Britain’s Got Talent. Having won their semi-final heat with over 63% of the votes, they then won the overall competition with one of the biggest majorities ever and subsequently signed to Simon Cowell’s label Syco, becoming label mates with the likes of One Direction, Little Mix, Susan Boyle and Il Divo. In the two years since the competition, Collabro have released a number one debut album “Stars”, and their follow up album “Act Two” peaked at number two in the charts in the summer of 2015. They have performed at the Royal Variety Performance, twice on Britain’s Got Talent including the ten-year grand final compilation of past contestants, and have become enormously successful internationally. Notably, they have performed for over 30 million people in Japan on Music Station on two separate occasions, completing a tour and winning a gold disc award for top international artist alongside Sam Smith and Meghan Trainor.
King of Pop – The Legend Continues
King of Pop – The Legend Continues is currently on tour in the UK and is taking British theatres by storm. The superb production stars the world’s No.1 MJ impersonator ‘Navi’ who was actually invited to perform at two of Michael Jackson’s birthday parties in LA and New York. Michael not only applauded Navi but also gave him a standing ovation and invited the impersonator to spend a day at his home ‘Neverland’. The pair remained close and due to Navi’s uncanny resemblance to the star, he was often hired by Michael to act as a decoy to distract mobs of fans and press. Navi has since continued to work at the highest level performing in a whopping 57 different countries and is now back in the UK for a national theatre tour along with his incredible live band and dancers.
Joe McElderry – Gloria
This summer, platinum selling artist Joe McElderry releases his long awaited new album “Saturday Night at the Movies”. The album includes iconic songs from stage and screen and will also feature Joe’s hotly anticipated new single, Gloria, available this March. To celebrate the release of his fifth studio album, Joe will embark on a national tour of spectacular one night concerts – The Gloria Tour – performing tracks from the new album, along with some special guests. This not-to-be-missed concert will see Joe joined live on stage by X Factor’s Lloyd Daniels and Any Dream Will Do runners up Keith Jack and Ben James-Ellis.
