Hever Castle

O nce the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Hever Castle has 125 acres to explore, including award-winning gardens reflecting the changing seasons.
The stunning grounds were transformed by later inhabitant William Waldorf Astor, and include the Italian Garden with its 38-acre lake and the spectacular loggia with its very own Trevi Fountain.
Step back in time in the Tudor Garden, or inhale the fragrance of over 4,000 rose bushes in the quintessentially English Rose Garden.
There is also plenty to entertain visitors, including the Water Maze and the 100-year-old Yew Maze – how long will it take you to get out?
Inside, the splendid castle rooms contain fine furniture, tapestries, antiques, an important collection of Tudor paintings, and two prayer books inscribed and signed by Anne Boleyn.
As well as the historic castle and glorious grounds, Hever boasts a nine-metre tall wooden play castle, a unique collection of 1:12 scale model houses, and the Kent and Sharpshooters Yeomanry Museum – as well as restaurants offering a selection of mouthwatering food and gift shops with everything you might need to commemorate your day out.
